Every time the AC runs, air passes through the ducts before it reaches you. Over the years those ducts collect dust, pet hair, construction debris and, in humid homes, the conditions that grow mildew. Dirty ducts also restrict airflow, so the system works harder.

How often should air ducts be cleaned in Miami?

Will duct cleaning help my allergies?
Removing built-up dust and debris can help, especially with a good filter changed on schedule. It is one part of indoor air quality, not a cure.
How long does duct cleaning take?
Most homes take a few hours, depending on the number of vents and how the ductwork is laid out.
Is there mold in my AC ducts?
Musty smells and dark spots on vents can point to moisture problems. We tell you what we see. Mold testing and remediation are separate specialties, and we will say so if you need one.
